I felt like a kid again!
Today I and Phyllis (my workout buddy) met with our trainer, Punchnella, again. She evaluated us for range of motion in our lower extremity. But what we did was really fun! Next to the gym (not sure of its relationship) is a kids' play area full of those huge inflatable activity centers (I don't know what to call them). First, we had to shoot 25 baskets into the hoop as fast as we could. Then we hit plastic baseballs with a plastic bat; then jumped on a trampoline-like thing and slid down a big slide a bunch of times. By the end of it I was breathing hard and sweating! And kids do this for hours! The point I want to make is that exercise...working out...does not have to be boring. It can be FUN! Mix up your routines with activities that you enjoy. Personally, I like to hike, ride my bike, roller skate in a rink, jump on a trampoline, swim, ski, and now, jump in an inflatable play park!
